Science to Startup: Meet Mark Budde

Join the PICR Society of Research Fellows (PICR-SRF), in collaboration with the Midwest CRISPR Animal Modeling Symposium (M-CAMS), for an informal sit-down conversation with Mark Budde, co-founder and CEO of Plasmidsaurus. Budde, a Purdue alumnus, will share his journey from science to entrepreneurship, lessons learned building a biotech startup, and insights into career paths beyond academia. Graduate students and others who are interested are encouraged to attend.

Mark Budde is Co-Founder and CEO of Plasmidsaurus, a sequencing-as-a-service biotechnology company that provides ultrafast, publication-grade DNA and RNA sequencing across plasmids, RNA-Seq, amplicons, whole genomes, microbiomes, and AAV — designed to eliminate complex workflows and deliver complete, interpretable results quickly.
