Hammer Down Cancer Women’s Basketball

On February 19, 2026, Mackey Arena hosts a Big Ten match-up as Purdue takes on Iowa during the annual Hammer Down Cancer women’s basketball game. The event brings Boilermaker fans together to rally behind the groundbreaking research advancing cancer science at the Purdue Institute for Cancer Research (PICR).

Ribbon board message

Donations for ribbon board messages are available now! Donate just $25 and submit a message to get your message on the ribbon boards during the Purdue Women’s Hammer Down Cancer Basketball Game vs. Iowa on Feb 19, 2026. All donations support the PICR.

Once you complete your donation you must email the marketing department at SportsPromo@purdue.edu to submit your message for review. When sending your message, please include your name in the email. If you do not submit a message via email it will display as “Hammer Down Cancer!” by default.

All messages are limited to 45 characters (with spaces and punctuation) & must be approved by Purdue Athletics, no promotional or sponsorship messaging will be allowed. We ask that messages are formulated around the cause donations are being raised for (cancer and cancer research). Please note if your message is denied you will have the opportunity to revise your message, however, no refunds will be given.

“Hammer Down Cancer!”
“In Memory of Tyler Trent”
“In honor of Pete, great Father & proud Boiler”
“Proud of you Pete! Boiler Up & HDC!”
“Cancer Survivor of 5 years! Boiler Up!”

Last Day to submit your donation is Friday, Feb.13th at 11:59 PM ET & the last day to have your message submitted/approved: Sunday, Feb. 15 by 5 PM ET
